The new Beach Boys album, “That’s Why God Made the Radio,” will be released Tuesday. While some of the songs are fairly tepid, including a bizarre cringe-inducing song about television, the vocal arrangements are beautiful and, at times, lovely throughout the album. Moreover, the album does contain a moment of true genius. The last three songs on the album—”From There to Back Again,” “Pacific Coast Highway” and “Summer’s Gone”—are stunning and justify the existence of this new release.
